Serena Williams — Justine Henin Australian Open 2010

www.fuzzyyellowballs.com Serena Williams and Justine Henin face off in the final of the 2010 Australian Open later tonight. Serena leads the series 7 – 6. Serena comes into this match a little banged up. She was clearly struggling physically against Li Na in the semifinals. On the other hand, Henin destroyed her semifinal opponent and should be well-rested for this match. Look for Serena to try to keep points short. She needs to serve big and return well to win this match. Henin will try to extend points and make Serena run. Henin chances of winning improve the longer the match goes. We think that Serena will win this match in two tight sets. In winning the Australian Open, this would be the first time Serena has defended a major title.

    Im actually surprised with your choice of Serena winning. after you analysed their play and fitness (brilliantly by the way) I felt that you would choose Henin. Especially after destroying Zheng Jie, and with her overwhelming confidence, i think she has a much higher chance at this match.
