Good tips for the forehand. However, you said you want to hit with a continental grip on all your other strokes. Most pros would disagree with you on that. Neither Federer nor Nadal uses a continental grip on the backhand.

How did it go with the western grip?

thanks ill give the western grip a shot. i have been using continental and it hasn’t been giving me the results i would like to see. i would also love it if you could make a video about serving.

    thanks

The key to hitting topspin is to start low with your racket head and finish high. As you move the racket forward from low to high you are brushing up on the ball which causes topspin. I use the western grip now for my forehand which really helped when I changed from continental. This helped me to hit more topspin also. Hope this helps.

I think I understand what you are saying. I am about to go try that on the court.

An Eastern backhand uses the continental grip? A western backhand uses the continental grip? A kick serve with an Eastern backhand grip uses the continental grip? A two-handed backhand with eastern backhand grip with dominant hand uses the continental grip?
